The reason why I lost the ticket was B.L. Santhosh: Jagdish Shettar

Jagdish Shettar lashed out that BL Santosh was the reason why I lost ticket from BJP.

The reason why I lost the BJP ticket in this election is B.L. Former CM Jagdish Shettar directly accused Santosh himself. BL Santosh spread slander against me at the high command. His team also spread slander against me. Strategized against me. He said that it was from him that I missed the ticket.

I know that my name was in the screening committee of BJP. But, I don't know what happened at the high command level. Mahesh Tenginakai has been given ticket for Hubli Dharwad Central constituency which I represented. He has worked for the party. If the party had so much respect for him, he could have been made a member of the Vidhan Parishad or taken to the centre. But BL Santosh had his eye on me. He repeatedly insulted me. He spread slander. He has alleged that he did not give a ticket to the side.

Dharmendra Pradhan called me three days before the release of the first list. You are not getting a ticket this time. We will send a letter of order for it, sign it and send it, he said and hung up the phone. Just said three lines and dropped the ticket issue there.

He could have called me and talked. But it has not done so. Now, I thank the BJP for giving me the power of Chief Minister. However, the authority was given only for 10 months. Didn't you already give the CM degree to someone younger than me from Bommai for almost 2 years? They said that I was given for less than that.
